Megan and Bauer had a gorgeous summer day for their wedding ceremony! Family and friends gathered in northwest Iowa at the Oakwood Inn in Spirit Lake for their celebration.
Venues like these are so convenient. You have the peaceful gardens just steps outside your lodging, so no transportation needed to get to the ceremony! They did hold the reception off-site, but smaller guest lists could host dinner at the inn as well.
The guests were seated under the shade of the trees and overlooking a prairie. I played popular and light classical music for the prelude as they arrived.
For the seating of the families, they chose “To Make You Feel My Love.” The wedding party processional music was “Video Games” by Lana del Rey, which is becoming a new wedding favorite!
Megan walked down the brick aisle to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis. The wedding music covered multiple decades, so there was something everyone would recognize!
The ceremony concluded with the recessional “Love Me Like You Do” by Ellie Goulding. I continued playing upbeat familiar love songs as guests exited and were served cocktails on the patio before leaving for the reception.
Whether you prefer contemporary or classical music – or a mix of it all! – harp music brings it all together to make a beautiful soundtrack for your wedding day. I perform throughout Iowa as well as across southern Minnesota, eastern South Dakota, and eastern Nebraska. Visit my website ~ Northwest Iowa Harpist ~ to get in touch!
