Kara and Kyle had a lovely and personal wedding ceremony at Pathway Community Church on the north side of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Â As guests entered the sanctuary, they were greeted with classical harp music.
For the entrance of the wedding party, I played Pachelbel’s “Canon in D.” Â When the flower girls were halfway down the aisle, I switched to the traditional processional “Bridal Chorus” – also known as “Here Comes the Bride” – for Kara’s entrance.
During the ceremony, the couple had a cord braiding ceremony, which was accompanied by an improvisatory harp piece, featuring lots of glissandos! Â The recessional was Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March.” Â I continued to play upbeat classical harp music until the bride and groom had dismissed all of their guests.
