My final performance in Lagos before heading back to the US was with the Musical Society of Nigeria, in the world premiere of the New Horizons African Ballet. Â It was an honor working with the fabulous Tunde Jegede and all of the professional and student musicians and dancers involved.
Musically inspiring and stretching my experiences into a West African style (in a classical context), this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I’m thankful to have been a part of this event.
In addition to playing for the ballet’s premiere, I was also invited to present a set of Irish harp solos in the first half of the concert.
