I always love the first holiday party of the year. With a summer and autumn full of weddings, it’s exciting to get my fingers back on the traditional carols. There’s nothing like these familiar songs to get me counting the days before Christmas ~ music is my favorite part of the season!
This year, my first Christmas performance was for a company holiday party at the Allerton Mansion in Monticello, Illinois. Their guests filled both the ballroom and the library. The harp was set up at the bottom of the grand staircase, and I played for their cocktail hour prior to dinner.
