It was a day to celebrate moms at The Cottage Gardens! Located in the outskirts of Gentry in Northwest Arkansas, guests arrived to find springtime flowers, a wide selection of teas from around the world, and harp music!
With a menu that changes every few weeks, moms and their families enjoyed a variety of British treats inspired by Downton Abbey. Savory and sweet delicacies included scones, pastries, and sandwiches all made in-house.
Having a harpist was a bit of a Mother’s Day gift from the owner to herself as well! Her own mother was there assisting in the tea room, and after the final guests had departed, they sat down to a family dinner. It was like their own private harp concert!
Music for the afternoon included something for every generation. I played songs from Disney movies, English folk music, light classical pieces, and popular hits from the 1940’s through the present. A little bit of Bach, Beatles, and Beyonce!
