Harp music is an excellent choice for any gathering, creating a peaceful atmosphere. For this memorial service, guests entered the Heritage Golf Club in Hilliard as harp melodies filled the room. The music included classical and sacred favorites, such as “Meditation” from Thais, “Arioso” and “Prelude in C” by J.S. Bach, and concluding with Schubert’s “Ave Maria.”
During the service, I played the hymn “Amazing Grace” before the homily and light background music during the petitions. “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz concluded the service, with everyone exiting to the lobby for the luncheon.
