It might have rained all morning, but the weather cleared just in time for the wedding of Rachel and Francisco! Their ceremony was held at the Chapel at Finley Farms, which is covered against the rain, but open on three sides so you still feel as if you are outdoors. It’s the perfect compromise for couples wanting a garden wedding without the weather worries!

Located in Ozark just outside of Springfield, Missouri, Finley Farms also hosted the couple’s wedding reception. A short walk up and over the bridge led the guests between the two sites. The harp prelude included “A Thousand Years” from Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Dandelions by Ruth B, and the jazz standard “La Vie en Rose.”

When the wedding party was ready to begin, I played “Ancient Stones” from Skyrim for the entrance of the officiant and the seating of the families.

The wedding party processed to “Concerning Hobbits” from Lord of the Rings, and Rachel’s chosen bridal entrance music was “Storybook Love” from The Princess Bride.
They had a moment of dedication at the beginning of the service, during which I played John Denver’s “Dreamland Express” as a solo harp piece. “Here Comes the Sun” – definitely appropriate considering the day’s weather! – was the recessional.

Postlude music continued as guests lined the walkway to shower the newlyweds with flower petals and then head over to the reception.
I play for weddings and events in Springfield, Branson, and throughout Missouri and Arkansas. To find out more or inquire about specifics for your own event, please visit my website: Springfield MO Harpist.
