October is off to a lovely start this year! I always get excited for fall weddings with the cooler temperatures and autumn colors. This ceremony embraced all of that, with bright florals and romantic music on the front lawn of Kennington’s Mansion in Jackson, Mississippi.

When going over cues with the wedding planner prior to the ceremony, she let me know that there was a separate piece of music for family seating. It wasn’t on the list the bride had sent to me, but since all of my sheet music is stored in my iPad, it was easy to add it to the playlist! Having everything accessible also means I can take special requests from your guests or make last-minute swaps.

The family processed to “City of Stars” from the 2016 movie La La Land. Once they were seated, the wedding party came down the aisle to the hymn “Holy Holy Holy.”

Bailey’s bridal processional was “Tenerife Sea” by Ed Sheeran. The ceremony was conducted in the center of the front yard, with guests seated on three sides. The couple thoughtfully provided sunglasses for those facing west!

To conclude the ceremony, they chose the country song “Bless the Broken Road” for the recessional. The guests headed inside the mansion or to the backyard for cocktails and dinner, while the wedding party took pictures and the postlude continued.

As a professional wedding harpist, I love working with couples to personalize their wedding day music! I play for ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and bridal showers in Jackson and throughout Mississippi. To inquire, visit my website: Jackson MS Wedding Harpist.
