“Thank you for adding a special touch to our daughter and son-in-laws special day”

“Thank you so much for your beautiful music!  I must have had thirty people tell me how wonderful you were!  On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for your time and talent!”

“We just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated your music for the wedding.  There is just nothing that could compare to the sound of a harp in that gorgeous setting, and more importantly, we are so thankful for your professionalism and talent!  My husband doesn’t even have an inch of musical awareness in his body, and he on several occasions brought your name up and commented on how wonderful you played and presented yourself.  God bless you!”

“We enjoyed meeting you and were so glad you could perform at our wedding.  You played beautifully.”

“I was listening to Beauty & the Beast’s recordings from a performance and wanted to thank you again for making the music so beautiful and emotional when you played. I cannot imagine it being 1/2 as good without the things you added to the show.”

“We want to thank you once again for playing for our services yesterday.  You made the day even more special.”

“The music for the wedding was beautiful and the whole thing went wonderfully.  I had so many compliments on the harp music.  Thanks so much!”

“Britney and I can’t thank you enough for the beautiful music you provided for our outside wedding on August 20th, 2005.  At first, our task of planning a wedding long distance seemed daunting. But you were wonderful to work with over the phone.  We especially enjoyed your website that allowed us to listen to your wide range of talent.  We still haven’t stopped hearing overwhelmingly positive comments from our guests.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!  Warmest Regards,”

“Thank you so much for playing at our wedding!  You gave it the beautiful touch of music and made the day just perfect.  We can never thank you enough!”

“Thank you so much for performing at our wedding.  I am sorry that I could not thank you in person, but you played beautifully!!!”

“Thanks is not enough for all the hard work and talent you put into making Megan and my wedding day complete.  We are still getting compliments on how perfect the harpist was.”

“Dear Devon, Now that the dust has settled I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the beautiful performance at Erica’s wedding.  It was absolutely perfect, sans the siren!  The guests loved the music.  I can’t count how many compliments you received!  Thank you again for making our event so special.”

“How beautiful – you were superb and “an angel!”  It was quite a challenge planning an out-of-state event with our family scattered over 5 states.  We were very pleased how the service turned out and you were definitely the “shining star.”

“Thank you so much for your wonderful performance at my ceremony.  Everyone loved it.  I cannot wait to watch & hear it on video.”

“Thank you so much for the beautiful music you played at our wedding on Aug 5. Thank you for coming out to Joliet. The harp is the perfect instrument for a garden wedding. Everyone enjoyed hearing the harp and was very unexpected. It was absolutely beautiful, you have a wonderful talent. Thank you so much!”

“We certainly appreciate the beautiful music – it couldn’t have been more perfect!  Thank you for your time and commitment to making our special day — so extra special!”

“Devon, I just wanted to say a big thank you for playing at our wedding & cocktail hour. We received so many complements on you. I knew I would!! I only wish I had the time to just sit down and listen to you. I overheard my husband telling his best man that you play a great Stairway to Heaven. It must be a boy thing!!”

“Hello, Devon: Just a note to let you know how very happy we were that you were able to play at Karleen and Jason’s wedding.  You were just wonderful!  I received many comments on how lovely you played and how special it was to have you there.  Jason told me afterwards “that really made it for me” because of his mom.  I’ve attached a couple of photos – I’m sure you get many photos of you playing, but I thought I’d send them anyway.  Thanks, again.”

“Devon, I can’t thank you enough for the music this past weekend. Everything was beautiful. Your professionalism made it possible for me to enjoy the evening without worrying about how things would go. I really appreciate the time you made for us in your schedule and the absolutely wonderful performance. Thanks again,”

“I almost lost it when you played The Luckiest when I walked down the aisle. It was perfect!!  I am sorry I did not get a chance to chat with you but you did get awesome reviews from people!!  Thanks and I will keep you in mind for future events!!”

Walking down the aisle to Fields of Gold was one of the more memorable moments of our lives. So thank you for making our memories of our day that much more special.  Many thanks,”v

“Devon, Thank you for making my daughter’s wedding so very special!  You make your harp sing with life!  Thank you again!”

“Devon was very helpful and accommodating through our planning process.    We were at the park early for photos and had assigned several groomsmen to assist her when she arrived – but she was already there and set up! Her graceful presence and beautiful music was astonishing!  The music filled the park like a symphony, and the timing of all the songs were perfect!  My only regret is that we did not have a video camera dedicated solely for her performance.  We cannot express our appreciation and admiration for Devon enough!  Thank You so much!!!!!”

“Devon, You did a beautiful job at our wedding on Saturday!  Things got switched around on us at the last minute (no one told us they didn’t close the Conservatory to the public during our wedding and we would only get a small chunk of it!), attendants missed their cues, etc, but your music made it so special, it all went off as though perfectly planned.  I’m glad you decided to play during the ceremony, it helped offset the noise in the background!  It was a magical day overall, and I wish I’d had a chance to thank you at the time, and tell you how much we appreciated your contribution.  Here’s a great picture of you, I may send more if we get more from another camera, this is just the best one from ours.  Thanks again, we will recommend you to anyone we know that’s in need of a fantastic musician!”

“Devon, Thanks for making my day special with your music.  Your harp solo playing set the tone for a very special Sunday afternoon that I will never forget.”

“I was very pleased with her performance.  I was a little concerned since it had rained earlier in the day that she would be unable to bring her instrument out but it seemed to cause no problems.  She added some class to our Pierogi Fest.”

“Excellent. A pleasure to work with and a wonderful talent.”

“Thank you so much for making our Opening Night such a success, despite the weather.  Your music was outstanding and added to the elegance of the evening.  We appreciated your enthusiastic presence and hope you had fun as well.  Many thanks,”

“Hello Devon, I again want to thank you for your participation in our wedding on May 25th. Your music was so beautiful and elegant and our guests really enjoyed you!  I have just received pictures from my photographer and there are a couple of really nice ones of you and your GORGEOUS Harp.  ENJOY!”

“We had a cello and a harpist for our ceremony. Devon arranged and practiced with the cello player before the wedding. She helped us select the music which we went with classical music which helped with the mood of our romantic timeless wedding. We did not have to have appointments or deal with major details in the selection of choosing Devon. She truly made her end effortless! Loved it!!”

“Beautiful music! Devon was the harpist for my ceremony and did a great job! I was quite vague with my needs for the ceremony, and she did a great job of selecting music that was perfect! I live in MI, and she in IN so we never met and did all coordination through email – this worked out real well and Devon is extremely responsive and reliable! Devon really did a great job and everyone loved her performance!”

“Devon was very helpful as we planned this wedding for Nashville from Hawaii. Her talent and assistance with planning the wedding music was everything we hoped for at our wedding. We were thankful for her being a part of our beautiful wedding day and having her talent shared with all of us. Just hearing her harp play during the prelude to the wedding created the perfect ambiance for our special day. We would most definitely recommend her for other weddings as she is very talented and professional. Thank you Devon.”

“Devon.  Thank you so much for playing at our wedding on Saturday.   We think it was just wonderful and everyone enjoyed your beautiful playing.  We could not have been more happy with the entire day and you gave it a special touch.  Everyone who was there loved it.  Thanks again.”

“I would HIGHLY recommend at some point in your life, listening to this amazlingly beautiful music by Devon Carpenter.  Just trying to think of an occasion to have her play again…absolutely breath-taking.  I hired her two years ago, and she was very professional and I’ll never forget the magic of her music…..aaahhhhh.”

“Hi Devon, I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful music you played at our wedding.  With the rain putting a damper on our outdoor event, the beautiful music made up for it.  So many people commented on how beautiful you played.  Thanks again.”

“Devon was great. The location of our ceremony changed so the start time did as well. She was very flexible. The music sounded lovely and the harp was beautiful!”

“Thank you for providing such celestial music for the Lincoln Park 2520 Holiday Fair this past December.  You worked magnificently with the acoustically challenged space in the John Hancock Center and the selections you performed were masterfully executed.  We would be thrilled to have you perform again as your value to the overall ambiance is simply beyond compare.”

“Devon, thank you so much for playing at my daughter’s luncheon yesterday.  I loved listening to you and the duet of harp and violin was beautiful.  I do hope you’ll be able to play at another event for us in the near future.  You are very talented.”

“Our wedding guests have not stopped raving about you!  You made my dream wedding ceremony come true – and you never once tugged my sleeve to ask a question.  I appreciate the professional touch you added to the entire evening.”

“Devon is very talented! Her music at my wedding ceremony was beautiful . . . through all the stress of the big day her music shined through! I would recommend her for your event!! (Plus she was very easy to work with prior to the event) All in all a wonderful vendor!”

“Devon Carpenter, Harpist, was great and my guests were moved and attentive to her performances.  Her voice is a cut above the rest and her playing style is amazing. She is very, very, very talented and really classed up the event. Devon arrived on time, proved to be very flexible and open to sudden changes. She managed her instrument with incredible ease and played with absolute perfection. I look forward to hiring and hearing her for my next event. Thanks!”

“Being a landmark hotel on the National Register of Historic Places, we are quite picky about everything and everyone we bring into our building — especially for Easter Brunch. With more than 650 people attending, it is a big annual event for us. Devon not only met but exceeded our every expectation. We received nothing but the highest compliments from everyone — including our own staff! It is our honor to recommend her without exception.”

“Devon, We just wanted to say thank you so much for the wonderful music at the wedding.  Everyone commented on how lovely the music was, and it just made the ceremony complete.  Thanks so much for all the time you put in and answering all the questions we had during the last year.”

“Hi Devon, I never even got a chance to meet you which I am sorry about!  Weddings are a little crazy for the bride and groom though.  I wanted to thank you so much for the beautiful music you brought to our wedding, we loved it!  I can’t tell you how many people commented on your playing.  So again, I’m so sorry we never got the chance to meet but I loved your work.  Thank you,”

“I wanted to drop you a quick email for your service last Saturday.  I was not able to meet you personally and I really did not hear many songs that you played, but what I did hear sounded excellent.  I asked a couple people how it sounded and they said it was great so I appreciate that.  Thanks again!”

“Dear Devon, What a treat to have you return to Jacksonville to perform at the library.  I trust that you’ll be back – let’s look forward to it another year!”

“Dear Devon, Thank you so much for entertaining my Foster Grandparent group at Honker’s Restaurant on November 13, 2009!  Many of the Foster Grandparents commented that they enjoyed listening to your beautiful harp music during the opening stage of our Recognition Brunch…and I am still receiving comments on your wonderful musical presentation almost two weeks later.  Additionally, I appreciated your thoughtfulness as you stopped playing as I was doing introductions and announcements to our volunteer group.  Thank you for your talent and for agreeing to play on such short notice.”

“Dear Devon, I want to thank you for the beautiful music you provided for my mother’s funeral service.  I appreciate so much the fact that you were willing to accept the job on such short notice without knowing me and also for making the trip in such nasty weather.  You helped to make the service very special and memorable.  Thank you so much.”

“Hi Devon, I just wated to tell you that the music was spectacular.  We received lots of compliments that night about you playing.  Thank you so much for playing at our wedding.”

“Devon, Thank you so much for playing at Tim & Jaclyn’s wedding.  You played beautiful music.  I just wish I could have heard more of it.  I’m sorry I didn’t have time to thank you in person, but you know how weddings can be, with so many people to talk to.  Again, thank you, you made the ceremony very special”

“She was absolutely terrific,  Our wedding was made so special by her.  She was prompt, flexible with the placement of the harp, friendly, professional, well-dressed.  Her harp was beautiful in the garden where our wedding took place.  It wouldn’t have been the same without her.  I would highly recommend her as a classy and terrific musical accompaniment to your wedding or event.  I was 100% pleased.”

“Dear Devon, We can’t thank you enough for playing the harp at our wedding.  We received so many compliments about how wonderful the music was.”

“Devon, Thanks so much for the beautiful music on Friday!  We received  many compliments on it!”

“Devon played at our ceremony and cocktail/dinner hour for the reception in South Bend, IN.  I do not have the words to express the wonderful job she did.  I was nervous for our ceremony as we had multiple musicians (harpist, organist, vocalist), and I wasn’t sure how they all would coordinate the timing, etc.  Once the ceremony started, it all went very smoothly and everyone raved about how beautiful the harp was.  It added the perfect ambiance and class to our ceremony and a beautiful touch to our reception.  I highly recommend Devon Carpenter if you are looking for beautiful harp music.  Very professional, accessible and TALENTED!!!”

“She was amazing – she made my day perfect.  I was able to walk down the aisle to a song I’ve always loved.”

“We absolutely loved the work that Devon provided for us. She did an all Beatles ceremony and everyone walked away talking about what an amazing touch the harp added to the ceremony. Thanks for everything, Devon!”

“I was incredibly impressed by Devon.  I had a couple of special songs I wanted played for my wedding.  Devon did a search for the sheet music online, and she performed the pieces beautifully!  It was exactly what I had wanted!  I also had a few younger kids at the wedding, and after the ceremony they were curious about the harp.  When a couple of them came up and started playing with it, instead of getting angry and telling them to stop, Devon started teaching them some easy songs to play.  I would highly recommend her for any event you’re planning!”

“Devon, as usual your music was lovely.  Thank you for the touch of elegance you added to the event.”

“Thank you.  Your pictures are beautiful and I must say Ireland looks very very pretty in the old farmhouse on the hill.  We have lived here for so many years and have had violins, trumpets, piano, cello, sax, drums…….maybe just never ever an instrument or a musician with such magic. The children were mesmerized by you and many parents commented ‘Maybe I need to get a harp to put them to sleep at nite’!  Sweetly, perched above the mantle just beside your harp is the oil of my mother.  Nice to see my mother front and center with Ireland as she died three years ago and I know she too enjoyed the spot you chose!  The picture melted my heart to see her there! Thank you.  If you need further reference, ever, please do not hesitate to contact me.”

“Devon did a wonderful job at our wedding, and our guests really enjoyed the music!”

“Devon was very easy to work with. She was the harpist and she brought a flautist with her to play also. They did a beautiful job. She arrived at the courthouse in good time, so my stress was lightened. I appreciated that. In addition to playing with the flautist, Devon accompanied me on “The Lord’s Prayer”. We had met together earlier to rehearse at her home. It was a joy to work with someone who really knows what she is doing. Overall, a positive experience. You won’t go wrong hiring Devon Carpenter.”

“You were amazing! I am still receiving compliments on your performance. Thank you so much!”

I won her services from a bridal show but would have paid anything to have her play at my wedding. If you need music for your wedding Devon is THE BEST!!!!! Thank you so much for making our wedding perfect!”

“I wanted to let you know that the harp music was simply amazing it was so beautiful. Thank you so much for all that you did for the wedding. My son Dylan said that you let him play your harp and he thought that was so amazing…you were so friendly. Thank you for a memorable experience.”

“My daughter and I corresponded with Devon primarily through emails – she was always prompt and professional in her responses and we had no doubt that she would perform the musical selections my daughter requested and she was also very helpful in her suggestions. She arrived on time, was so nice in person and played the musical selections flawlessly as if we’d practiced many times. Thanks Devon, for making my daughter’s wedding even more special – so many positive comments about the beauty of harp music for a wedding ceremony!”

“Devon added such a nice ambiance to our wedding day. Guests commented on the music stating what a nice surprise it was to have a harpist play at the wedding. The song choices were perfect. Thank you.”

“I just wanted to thank you so much for your awesomeness at our wedding! Thank you so much for learning those songs–they were all great. I have to say that hearing ’81 while seeing Jay up there was incredibly special. Thanks for making that moment happen! You rock–I’d recommend you in a heartbeat!”

“Devon, Just wanted to say thank you! You helped make Samantha and Matthew’s wedding day on September 17th special! Several people enjoyed your playing and commented on it. I was one of them.”

“Devon played her Harp for our wedding ceremony. She was absolutely wonderful to work with from start to finish. She responded very quickly to all our emails. She was very professional and organized. She kindly helped us pick our ceremony songs since we were unfamiliar with most of the wedding music. Her music was absolutely beautiful at our outdoor ceremony. Thank you so much Devon for making our wedding beautiful!”

She really exceeded my expectations.”

“Just catching my breath from the weekend event, but wanted to thank you for your wonderful performance at the wedding reception for Lauren and Mosah. It was perfect for the event and really “classed up” the evening. I will definitely keep you in mind if another opportunity arises for the need for some music. Also, thanks for being easy to communicate with– it was a pleasure to work with you. Thanks for the memorable evening.”

“Devon is such a talented professional musician. Her music added a great touch to our daughter’s wedding. One comment we heard was, “The harpist made the wedding ceremony ‘Over The Top.'” We could not have been happier with you and your music. Thank you, Devon.”

“Devon was a pleasure to work with, very helpful, accommodating and was one of the vendors I DID NOT have to manage, so that was a plus. She knew what to ask ahead of time and everything! All my guests were EXTREMELY impressed by the harp, the music, the player and the ambiance it all created together. THANK YOU!!!!!”

“Devon, Thank you so much for playing at our wedding on June 23rd. I know we didn’t get to meet, but I wanted to tell you I loved your music! It sounded great! I’ll be recommending you to friends in the future.”

“Devon did an absolutely outstanding performance for us. Everyone was still talking about it throughout the afternoon and evening. They were particularly impressed with the diversity of her music and how talented she was. Two of our children remarked that she went from Rainbow Connection to Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin and that it was absolutely amazing. We also heard comments from people in Holland State Park saying how beautiful it was to have a harp playing at the beach. Thank you for making our wedding even more special, Devon.”

“You were amazing! I would highly recommend your services to anyone. The music was a true highlight of the ceremony. Thank you so much!”

“Devon – Thank you for your wonderful playing the evening of June 29th. The music was beautiful and just perfect for the mood of the event. So many guests commented to me later that they enjoyed a special song or two.”

“Arthur and I were married this past June 30th at an apple orchard in NW Indiana. We hired Devon to play the music at our ceremony. She was very easy to work with as we planned for our big day. We had no problem picking our music choices form her huge list of offerings. On the day of our wedding, I did not have to worry about a thing. She found the ceremony site and set up with no problem. All I remember is hearing her BEAUTIFUL music; that is totally how it SHOULD be!! What an AMAZING addition to our ceremony! Thank you Devon for such lovely music and being a part of our PERFECT day!!”

“Thank you so much for playing at our wedding. You played beautifully! Everyone was blown away by how wonderful the music was, including Martin and myself. Thanks again!”

“Devon is an amazingly talented harpist! She was extremely easy to work with. We had a couple of conversations with her over the phone and never even met her until the day of! But her website was extremely helpful. It offered a lot sample clips of her music! My guests loved the special touch of having a harpist at the ceremony and the cocktail hour. She’s prompt, professional, prepared, self-sufficient, pretty, and musically amazing! Being that I was planning a destination wedding, having trust-worthy, professional vendors is KEY!”

I am so happy that I chose Devon to be my harpist at my Sept 1st wedding. Everyone at my wedding raved at how beautiful she sounded and what a nice touch it was. She was very willing to work with me as well since my wedding was outside and it rained up until we had to be there. If I ever have the chance to use her again I most definitely will!!”

“I just wanted thank you for the beautiful music you provided during the ceremony. It was every bit as beautiful as we could have hoped for. I just wanted to let you know how pleased we were and how beautifully you played the harp. I would certainly recommend you to anybody who needs a harpist. Thank you again, Devon!”

“Devon was amazing! She is so incredibly talented and really helped to set such a classy tone at our wedding reception at Notre Dame SDH. Her music is so beautiful, and exactly what you’d want from a harpist – soft enough that it doesn’t distract, but vibrant enough to affect the mood. She also gets extra points for letting the brand new wifey, who used to play the harp, pose for a few pictures and play a bit of music herself!

She’s so professional, doesn’t pressure you in any way to hire her on the spot, and she responds really quickly to emails, a huge plus if you’re planning a wedding from the west coast like we were!

We have to admit, having a harpist at our reception was one of the things we thought we only wanted a little bit, and almost didn’t pull the trigger on, but Devon had such great reviews and was so easy to communicate with that we were convinced. We’d like to put our two cents in as another positive review to convince anyone else on the fence to DO IT! Definitely one of the best, and classiest decisions we made for our wedding.”

“It was a beautiful wedding and The Classic Harpist made it so special. Thank you!”

“Devon is amazing!! She recently played during our October 2012 wedding ceremony. She was very professional throughout the whole planning experience and extremely attentive. She arrived on time and and was very professional. I truly believe our wedding ceremony wouldn’t have had the same atmosphere without her talent. I would recommend her to anyone needing a harpist for upcoming events! Thanks again Devon :)”

“Devon, Just wanted to drop a note to tell you how wonderful you sounded. While I did not hear very much, my friends and family said you were fabulous. I wish I would have been able to meet you but it was a rather busy day! Thanks again for making my daughter’s day just awesome!”

“Thank you so much for participating in our 81st annual Christmas Vespers Service. We have heard many comments about how people enjoyed the harp music. Your selection of songs really rounded out the afternoon. It was a pleasure to have you share your talent.”

“Devon Carpenter was the perfect ceremony musician for our wedding at the Jewel Box in St. Louis. I cannot recommend her enough! Brides: do yourself a favor and hire Devon! Throughout the planning process, Devon was super easy to work with and accommodated all of my requests. I asked for a Disney piece (Part of Your World) to be played as I walked down the aisle, and she played it perfectly; it was subtle and wedding-appropriate! She was also proactive in the planning process, which was helpful when there are so many vendors to coordinate. She is clearly very practiced in the wedding arena, as she has an organized information sheet to make sure everything is in order (which songs coordinate with which parts of the wedding party and ceremony). We never had a rehearsal despite having a large wedding party, but you would have never known it by the way Devon kept everything running smoothly! Devon was the first person at the ceremony, and one of the last to leave. The music was wonderful, her harp was beautiful, and she was so kind. Thank you, Devon, for creating the perfect atmosphere for our wedding! We love you!”

“Thank you for your gift of playing the harp. Your talent was perfect and greatly enjoyed throughout our wedding ceremony in Lake Geneva. We look forward to referring you to friends and family and appreciate your organization and musical gift. Thank you!”

I feel like it just wouldn’t have worked with ANY other musical option… and you played all our crazy requests. I highly recommend her and her skills!”

It was always my dream to have a harpist and violinist play, and all I can say is WOW! Awaiting my big moment to walk down the aisle I heard them playing inside before the doors opened and it was a ‘pinch me’ moment, realizing…omg, that is my wedding! That is the harp and violin! It gave me chills and was so beautiful! Devon’s selection of music was awesome and they played everything we chose exactly as planned. “Devon was fantastic! The ceremony was beautiful and I cannot imagine it being so lovely without the fantastic tone set by Devon’s playing. So many people shared how moving her music was and wondered where we found her and how long she and the keyboardist and soloists had been working together.
