St. Louis Harpist for Christmas

St. Louis Harpist at Christmas

What a wonderful way to begin December and the Christmas season with being back at Holy Cross Lutheran in Creve Coeur!  I have had the honor of working with their music director and playing for their congregation several times, both during Advent and other times during the church year.

They begin the prelude approximately ten minutes prior to the service time, so the sanctuary is filled with music as people arrive.  The music director chooses the songs I play, and this prelude included “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “My Lord, What a Morning,” “Wade in the Water,” and “Panis Angelicus.”

The opening music was Bach’s “Wachet Auf.”  I also play along with the organ or piano for the hymns.  This Sunday, those were “Hark the Glad Sound,” “On Jordan’s Banks the Baptist’s Cry,” “All Earth is Hopeful,” and “The King Shall Come.”

During other moments of the service, I played solo harp arrangements of “Of the Father’s Love Begotten,” “Let Us Break Bread Together,” and “Soon and Very Soon.”

Throughout December, I love playing Christmas music for churches, parties, and weddings!  I am available for booking in St. Louis and beyond, including all of Missouri and Illinois.  To find out more or request a quote, visit my website:  St. Louis Harp Music.
