My first event of the holiday season was for a luminary service held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, Illinois. It was a time for those who had family members buried there to visit, create Christmas tree ornaments celebrating their loved ones, listen to harp music, and leave luminaries on the graves.
It was a beautiful night, and many people were touched by the music and the memories. It is always a joy to get out my Christmas and Hanukkah music every year, and it was even more special being able to use that music to soothe grieving families.
From memorial services to weddings to holiday parties, I perform for all types of events throughout the Chicago area. If you are interested in including live harp music at your next function, please contact me! You’ll find more information (and can check availability and request a quote) on my website: Chicago Harpist.
