Back at College Park Christian Church for Christmas Eve! I played there last year, and the music director contacted me again in January to be sure they got on my calendar again for this year. Always good to plan far in advance for popular dates, and Christmas Eve is one of the most requested performance dates for harpists!
As I did last year, I played half-hour preludes for both services. The pieces I played included Christmas carols from well-known to less familiar, from all around the world. The service included readings, video presentations, and congregational singing of carols.
The harp is an excellent choice to provide music for church services throughout the year, but especially at Christmas! The music is peaceful and relaxing, and is a unique way to present familiar songs.
I am available in Bloomington-Normal, throughout the Midwest, and beyond for church services, holiday parties, and weddings. Visit my website – Bloomington Harpist – and contact me to reserve your date on my calendar. It’s never too soon to be thinking about next year’s events!
