During December, my normally wedding-centric calendar shifts to include more private and corporate parties. This holiday open house was held by a couple at their home in the Cherokee Gardens neighborhood of Louisville, and was a wonderful way to see friends and business associates and celebrate the season together.
On a Sunday afternoon, they welcomed their guests with hot chocolate, other drinks, and appetizers, as well as harp music! Adults and children alike enjoyed hearing their favorite Christmas songs played on the harp. At the hosts’ request, I played a variety of classical and popular pieces, along with traditional and contemporary Christmas songs.
