Feras and Tanja celebrated their wedding reception at County Line Orchard in Hobart. It was an exciting evening full of music and dancing!
The cocktail hour was in the adjacent room, and guests were treated to popular music on the cello. Once the grand hall was opened, guests filed in to find their seats with the DJ providing background music.
Families of the bride and groom, including the bride’s grandparents who flew in from Macedonia, entered to great fanfare! The wedding party followed, making their entrance from the barn’s loft down the stairs to the main floor. With the arrival of the bride and groom, guests joined them for circle dances before being seated for dinner.
Harp music brought the volume level down to a level more conducive to conversation, and dinner was served. The songs included the couple’s special requests of “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran, “Love Story” by Taylor Swift, and “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic.
I also included a few Arabic songs by Fairuz and other contemporary popular songs. I always love the reactions of guests when they hear music from their culture that they don’t expect to hear on the harp! I have a wide repertoire of folk and popular songs from around the world, including music from the Middle East, India (Bollywood music is amazing on the harp!), and China.
For weddings throughout the world, harp music is the perfect touch! With a “home base” in both the US and UAE, I regularly travel for performances at events all around the globe. I would love to work with you to bring the magic of harp music to your celebration! Contact me via my website ~ Arabic Harp Music ~ to discuss details.
