Harpor’s Vineyard south of Des Moines is a beautiful place for a wedding! It has a rustic feel, but with all of the contemporary luxuries to make your day complete. This Sunday afternoon ceremony took place outdoors, with the vineyard in the background. The flowers were amazing!
As the family members made their way to their seats, I played the jazz standard “La Vie en Rose” by Louiguy. Nicole chose John Legend’s “All of Me” for the processional of the wedding party, and “Can’t Help Falling in Love” for her own walk down the aisle.
During the unity ritual, I played Schubert’s “Ave Maria.” Even if you are getting married outside of the church, you can still incorporate music with religious significance!
Their recessional was “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles. I continued to play contemporary, upbeat pieces for the postlude as the guests headed to the pavilion and lawn for cocktail hour.
I play for weddings and events throughout central and southern Iowa. Contact me at ~ Iowa Wedding Harp ~ to start planning your wedding music!
