Wedding Music in Southwest Michigan

Southwest Michigan is full of beautiful venues, from wineries to grand banquet halls to the beaches of Lake Michigan. One I’ve returned to many times over the years is the Morris Estate. I’ve even played here before the much-appreciated addition of air conditioning! The chapel has maintained its simple charm, and is a lovely place to hold your ceremony. The harp fits in perfectly, and it has fantastic acoustics for the instrument!

Claire and Andrew held their entire wedding celebration on site, with the chapel ceremony preceding the cocktail hour on the lawn and reception in the adjacent tent. The prelude music as guests found their seats in the sanctuary featured popular love songs, and concluded with “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.

The family and wedding party shared an entrance song, the Elvis hit “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Claire’s bridal processional was Pachelbel’s “Canon in D.”

During the unity ritual, they requested “Edelweiss” from The Sound of Music to be played. The recessional to accompany their walk out of the chapel as a newly-married couple was “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles.

The upbeat contemporary songs continued until the last of the guests had exited the chapel. I play for weddings throughout Southwest Michigan, and would love to add harp music to yours! Visit my website ~ Southwest MI Wedding Music ~ to start planning!
