Katelyn and Zared were bravely planning an outdoor wedding in November – and they got it! Even though it was chilly, there was no rain (or snow!) so their ceremony went ahead outside at Shepherd’s Hollow Station. With the temperatures below 50, I was prepared with my carbon-fiber harp that can handle any sort of weather!
Having this harp available gives my couples so much more flexibility with their wedding plans. If it starts to rain, or you’re planning for a venue that’s challenging to access with a harp on wheels, this harp will allow me to get there and keep your music going! It’s the best answer to all of the “what if” scenarios that can come up in your wedding planning.
As guests gathered, I played popular songs, including “Yellow,” “Your Song,” “Time of Your Life,” and “Edelweiss” from The Sound of Music. The family and wedding party came down the aisle to Debussy’s “Clair de Lune.”
For Katelyn’s own processional, she chose a mashup of the wedding classic “Canon in D” by Pachelbel and The Beatles’ hit “Here Comes the Sun.” The recessional to conclude the ceremony went more traditional, with Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March.”
I play for weddings in the greater Detroit area, as well as throughout Eastern Michigan and Southern Ontario. To inquire for date availability and a quote, please visit my website ~ Detroit Wedding Harp Music.
