I was hired to come to India to play harp in a bubble, and I finally got to on Thanksgiving Day. Although they weren’t exactly celebrating the American holiday in New Delhi, the food was better. That’s one of the bonuses living here – I’m always invited (that really means required!) to join the buffet line and eat the local cuisine. The spicier the better!
Here’s the harp in the bubble. Over the top? Maybe, but oh-so-fun!
The events I’ve played for here have requested a variety of music – some want all Bollywood songs, some want all “Western” popular songs or classical music, and many want a mix of everything. I’ve had such a fantastic time putting together a repertoire of Bollywood music. There’s nothing like having a group of people start singing along in Hindi!
