DJ and Stacey had a beautiful and luxurious wedding at the Four Seasons in St. Louis. The ceremony was held in the banquet hall, and the prelude music they chose (“What a Wonderful World,” “A Whole New World“) called to their newly-shared last name, World.
The grandparents, godparents, and parents of the bride and groom came down the aisle to “Overjoyed,” sung by a vocalist. I played “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” for the wedding party entrance, then “All I Ask of You” from Phantom of the Opera for the bridal processional.
Another vocalist sang “To God be the Glory” to piano accompaniment during the service, and I played a harp solo version of “How Great Thou Art” during the sand ceremony.
DJ and Stacey jumped the broom, then exited to “You’re All I Need to Get By.” It was a quick turn-around for the room, as they had to get everything re-set for dinner while guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the terrace. By the time I was finished with postlude music, they already had chairs stacked and the lifts moving through!
