Canton Ohio Harpist ~ Wedding Ceremony & Reception at Gervasi Vineyard

Akron Ohio Wedding Harpist Gervasi

I was especially excited for this wedding, as it was my first time back to Gervasi Vineyards in Canton, Ohio, since my brother & sister-in-law got married there last fall!  They have created such a lovely and tranquil setting for weddings at the vineyard, that it feels like a little piece of Italy has been transported to northeast Ohio.

Shelly & Rick’s ceremony was supposed to be on the patio outside Villa Grande, but the rain just wouldn’t let up.  Fortunately, the indoor back-up location was beautiful, too!  As the bridesmaid, flower girls, and ring bearer made their entrances, I played “All I Ask of You” from Phantom of the Opera.

The bride looked amazing in her teal dress, and came down the aisle to “Canon in D.”  There is no rule saying that the bride has to wear white!  During the service, the bride and groom created a unity cross, with “Ave Maria” by Schubert playing in the background.  The ceremony concluded with the recessional “King William’s March.”

I continued to play through the cocktail hour, which was held in the lobby of Villa Grande.  Shelly requested all classical music for this time, so I played some of my favorites for harp:

During the cocktail hour, the rain cleared up so they were at least able to get some outdoor pictures!  For weddings in the greater Canton & Akron areas, I love working with couples to customize the harp music for their ceremonies and receptions.  If you are interested in having a harpist provide the music for your wedding, please visit my website:  Canton Wedding Harpist.
