Megan and Brandon were married on Labor Day weekend at Central Christian Church in Decatur, Illinois. Â This is a stunning, historic church, and was a beautiful setting for their ceremony.
As guests arrived, I played a variety of classical music. Â When the bridesmaids came down the aisle, that was to “All My Loving” by The Beatles. Â Megan’s own processional was the French song “La Vie en Rose,” which was made famous in the 1940s by Edith Piaf and is now a jazz standard.
During the lighting of the unity candle, I played “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen. Â The recessional was back to classical music, and the traditional “Wedding March” by Mendelssohn. Â Other joyful music followed (including “Trumpet Tune” and “Trumpet Voluntary“) as the bride and groom dismissed their guests from the sanctuary.
I play for weddings throughout Central Illinois, and would love to be a part of your celebration! Â I work with each of my couples to customize their wedding music, so it can be traditional or not (or a mix of everything!). Â More information on my website ~ Decatur Illinois Wedding Music.
