Christmas Harp Music in St. Louis

This is the third time I have been invited to play for services at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Creve Coeur. It’s always good to be back!

The prelude begins about ten minutes prior to the service, and the music director requested Christmas music, both classical and sacred. This included the “Pastorale” from the Christmas Concerto by Corelli, “As With Gladness Men of Old,” “In the Bleak Midwinter,” and “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.”

To begin the service, I played “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.” Throughout, I accompanied the congregation singing, alongside the organ. The hymns for the day were “Rejoice, Rejoice, Believers,” “My Lord, What a Morning,” and “The King Shall Come.”

I also played harp solos during the offertory (“Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence”) and communion (“What Child is This” and “Joseph Dearest, Joseph Mine”). The postlude was “From Heaven Above to Earth I Come.”

As a harpist in the St. Louis area, I am available to play for all types of holiday parties, religious services, weddings, and other events. Visit my website – St. Louis Harpist – to inquire for more details!
