Skokie Valley Baptist Church was celebrating its 70th anniversary, and marked the milestone with a service and dinner. Having harp and violin duets during the meal was a surprise for the congregation!
Following a hymn sing, the congregation entered the church hall, which had been transformed into a beautiful dining space. They requested a variety of classical pieces and traditional hymns, and our playlist included “Ode to Joy,” “Amazing Grace,” “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” “Jesus Paid it All,” and “Faith of Our Fathers.”
The harp as a solo instrument is lovely, but I also love collaborating with other musicians! The harp and violin duet is my most-requested ensemble. We play for all types of events, from corporate parties to weddings, and would love to be a part of yours!
