While many of the events I play for are weddings, harp music can be the perfect finishing touch for any celebration! Valerie was finished (or at least on a pause!) renovating her new home on the lakefront in Racine, Wisconsin, and invited family and friends to see.
Along with drinks and appetizers, her guests were treated to a beautiful view and beautiful music. Teal and gold balloons framed the harp, and her cat was THE BEST!
She requested classical harp music that didn’t make it feel like a wedding. I loved that description! The music we went with included some harp compositions that may not be recognized but are idiomatic to the instrument, as well as some familiar classics (but definitely not “Canon in D“!).
