I have played at most of the wedding venues in Northwest Indiana, but I love when I get booked for a new-to-me one! Hannah and Kyle were married at Fair Oaks Farms in Fair Oaks, Indiana. Their ceremony was held just off the nature trail and the reception followed in the conference center. With a hotel onsite, it’s a very convenient location!
As guests arrived to the wooded ceremony site and found their seats, I played a variety of popular music, including the couple’s special request of “All My Loving” by The Beatles.
The family and wedding party all came down the aisle to Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters,” followed by the bride to “Married Life” from the Pixar movie Up.
In lieu of a unity candle or sand, they had their mothers hold the wedding rings during the ceremony, and then present them to their children just before the ring exchange. During this time, I played “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King. The recessional was “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” – definitely a top choice for the ceremony’s conclusion!
I continued with upbeat pop pieces as guests exited and were off to cocktail hour. If you are looking for a harpist in Northwest Indiana, please reach out! You can contact me via my website ~ NWI Wedding Ceremony Music.
