Harpist in Puerto Vallarta ~ Mexico Wedding Musician

Another stunning Puerto Vallarta wedding! This couple had been trying to make their destination wedding happen for months, and were finally able to gather with their friends and family at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta in Mexico. The venue is a destination unto itself! The ceremony was held at the Santuario, where guests were surrounded by the pool, fountains, and harp music.

I played as guests arrived and found their seats, including a variety of contemporary love songs. The family entrance was “A Thousand Years” from Twilight: Breaking Dawn, and the wedding party processional was “All of Me” by John Legend.

Danielle walked down the aisle to Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams.” A friend of the couple performed the ceremony, which concluded with “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles for the recessional.

Guests enjoyed cocktails at the adjacent bar before continuing the celebration at the reception. I play for destination weddings around the world, including in Puerto Vallarta and throughout Mexico. Indy Wedding Music – Harp, Violin, & Cello Trio

Naomi and Jesse knew they wanted something beautiful and impressive for their wedding music, so they went with a trio of harp, violin, and cello for their ceremony and reception! Although many of the weddings I play for are just harp alone, adding other string instruments is a lovely option that gives you a deeper and fuller sound.

Indy Harpist

Avon Gardens outside of Indianapolis has multiple options for ceremony sites. Rain kept us off to the side under a tent, but the music was able to carry on! Of course, wooden instruments can’t get wet, but we were able to stay dry under the tent as guests were seated under their umbrellas for the ceremony. The venue even got out the leaf blower to try to dry the aisle!

Harpist Indianapolis

Naomi knew the two songs she wanted for the ceremony – “This Will Be Our Year” by The Zombies and “How Long Will I Love You” by Ellie Goulding. However, she preferred “This Will be Our Year” for her processional, but it was a bit more uptempo that she wanted for her entrance.

This is the beauty of live, professionally-played instrumentals – we can adjust in any way you’d like! We were able to do a slowed-down acoustic version of The Zombies’ song, and then an uptempo version of “How Long Will I Love You” as the recessional.

Indy Wedding Music

We moved to the other side of the gardens for the cocktail hour, where we continued with a mixture of popular and classical music with the trio. If you are looking for wedding music, please get in touch! Either solo harp or in an ensemble, I’d love to create the perfect soundtrack for your ceremony, reception, or both! Wedding Music in SW Michigan

It was a rainy day at Tabor Hill Winery – just like the last time I was there! Fortunately, even with the ceremony going on outside in the drizzle, I am able to set up the harp in the nearby reception tent, and mic the harp so it can be heard outside.

Southwest MI Wedding Music

With guests gathering inside the tent before heading outside, they could hear (and see!) the harp perfectly for the prelude music. As the wedding party came down the aisle, I played the Elvis favorite, “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

Emily’s bridal processional went traditional, with the Wagner “Bridal Chorus” – aka “Here Comes the Bride.” For the unity ceremony, they chose “Meditation” from Massenet’s opera Thais. The recessional at the conclusion of the ceremony was also a traditional choice, the “Wedding March” by Mendelssohn.

Puerto Vallarta Harpist ~ Wedding Music in Mexico

Allison and Fred were childhood sweethearts that reconnected and celebrated their wedding at the Villa del Palmar Flamingos in Puerto Vallarta. What a beautiful place to gather with family and friends, with the ceremony right at the ocean and the reception steps away!

Harp Music Puerto Vallarta

As guests gathered, I played classical music including “Sheep May Safely Graze” by J.S. Bach and more contemporary favorites, like “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

This was the first “official” performance with my new carbon-fiber harp – an Infinity made by Dave Woodworth at Heartland Harps. I love that it is light, portable, and can play outdoors in any weather! The light gold color is classy and fits in with any wedding decor.

Allison chose Debussy’s “Second Arabesque” as her bridal processional, when she was escorted down the aisle by her son and sister. I played lightly in the background throughout the ceremony, then “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” as the recessional.

The cocktail hour took place at the ceremony site, and I continued to play until guests made their way to dinner in the nearby restaurant. The music the couple chose for this time included “Love on Top,” “A Thousand Years,” “Brown Eyed Girl,” “I’m Yours,” and “Ribbon in the Sky.”

We were also sure to include some classic Bollywood songs, as the parents of the groom were both born in India. It was a nice surprise for them to hear some old favorites at the wedding!

Kansas City Wedding Music ~ Harpist at The Bardot

Katie and Caleb had a beautiful spring day for their rooftop ceremony at The Bardot! They had a view of downtown Kansas City, and guests were treated to harp music as they found their seats. Prelude music included “All of Me” by John Legend, “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles, and “Marry Me” by Train.

Wedding Harpist Kansas City

As the ceremony began, we switched from popular songs to classical music. For the family seating, they chose Schubert’s “Ave Maria.” The bridesmaids, flower girl, and ring bearer all came down the aisle to “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” and Katie’s processional was “Canon in D.”

For the recessional, the couple exited back down the aisle to “Trumpet Voluntary.” I followed this up with more upbeat, joyful pieces, both classical and contemporary.

Harpist ~ Columbia Missouri Wedding Music

With so many wonderful wedding venues, it’s not often that I play at the same place within a year – let alone just a few weeks apart! After the Renaissance wedding in late April, I was back at Firestone Baars Chapel in Columbia in early May.

Central MO Harpist

Ashley and Jacob had a beautiful spring day for their wedding. I played a variety of classical music as guests found seats in the chapel, and switched to the Impressionistic piece “Claire de Lune” by Debussy as the family members entered the sanctuary.

Columbia MO Harpist

The wedding party processional was Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” and Ashley came down the aisle to “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King. The ceremony concluded with the Beatles’ hit “Here Comes the Sun” for the recessional.

As guests exited the chapel, I continued playing upbeat popular music as the postlude. If you are planning a wedding or other event in Columbia, get in touch! Omaha Harpist & Pianist for Weddings

Collaborating with other professional musicians is always a treat! For this wedding, the couple opted for a duet of harp and piano. With each instrument being capable of playing both melody and harmony, this ensemble creates a full, lush texture of sound.

Manhattan Harpist | Alice in Wonderland Birthday Party Music

What an amazing party! Strong winds meant it had to be inside the family’s home rather than in the yard, but it was beautiful all around!

Harpist Manhattan KS

I played harp music as the birthday girl and her family celebrated, complete with costumes, in Alice in Wonderland style. Everyone was there, from Alice to the Cheshire Cat to the Mad Hatter!

The music was an eclectic mix of classics and contemporary requests. I started with “Bittersweet Symphony” by The Verve. Other song requests included “Stairway to Heaven,” “Gymnopedie No. 1,” “Sky Full of Stars,” and “Concerning Hobbits.” The final piece was “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” by Green Day.

Alice in Wonderland Birthday Party

I love when my clients choose music that they love and has special meaning to them. Everyone who hires me can have as much control over the playlist as they would like, and I’m happy to provide song suggestions, too!

Grand Rapids Harp Music ~ JW Marriott Corporate Event

Originally scheduled for January, COVID forced a reschedule for this event! Fortunately, I was available for their new date in April, and was able to play for their corporate celebration then.

Grand Rapids Harp Music

I set up in the International Lobby of the JW Marriott in downtown Grand Rapids. The event was taking place in the ballroom, and I was in the lobby for the breaks between sessions and speakers. The hotel also had snacks and meals for the attendees.

They especially enjoyed hearing songs they recognized – and might not expect to hear on the harp! I played everything from Ed Sheeran to Metallica (by special request!) and Beyonce to Elvis.

Harp music is a special and unexpected touch, with a huge visual “wow” factor, loved by guests of all ages. Contact me to discuss having a harpist at your next event!
