St. Louis Wedding Harpist

The aunt of the groom decided to give this couple a fantastic wedding gift – harp music for their ceremony! She contacted and booked me, and then the bride and groom were able to select the music themselves. What a perfect way to take some of the planning stress off the couple, and give them a gift to enhance their wedding day!

Wedding Music Alton Illinois

I played prelude music as guests arrived at Julia’s Banquet Center in Alton. When the wedding party was lined up, I switched to Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” for their processional. Katyann chose the traditional “Here Comes the Bride” for her processional.

During the ceremony, they combined glass beads in a unity heart to “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Their recessional to conclude the ceremony was another Taylor Swift song, “Today was a Fairytale.” I continued with more contemporary selections, including “Perfect,” “All You Need is Love,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” as guests were dismissed from the ceremony space and headed to the cocktail hour.

Mississippi Wedding Music

Wedding Harpist Jackson MS

Topher and Brian were married on the grounds of the Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson, with the reception following inside the museum. Their fall wedding was accented with the colors of black, red, and deep plum. But with temperatures in the mid-80s, it felt more like summer!

As guests arrived and were seated in the gardens, the harp music included popular songs such as “Tale as Old as Time” from Beauty and the Beast and “Marry Me” by Train. The wedding party entered as couples to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.”

For the grooms’ entrance, they had a vocalist singing “Unchained Melody” with guitar accompaniment. After so many popular songs, they went traditional for the recessional, choosing Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March.” I continued with uptempo harp postlude music as guests were directed inside for the cocktail hour.

Northern Michigan Wedding Music | Castle Farms Ceremony & Reception

Back at the majestic Castle Farms for the second time this fall! This time, on the other side of the venue, and playing for both the outdoor ceremony and indoor cocktail hour.

Harpist in Charlevoix MI

My original set-up location was inside the turret that framed the ceremony space, but was moved to the back patio. Fortunately, every spot is beautiful at this venue!

As guests arrived, the prelude music included Enya’s “Only Time” and “Storybook Love” from The Princess Bride, as well as other classical pieces and contemporary love songs.

The families of the couple and the wedding party all came down the aisle to “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Tiffany’s bridal processional was “Tale as Old as Time” from Beauty and the Beast. Perfect for a castle wedding! As the bride and groom lit the unity candle, I played J.S. Bach’s “Arioso.”

For the recessional to conclude the ceremony, they chose “River Flows in You” by the South Korean composer and pianist Yiruma. After that, guests walked across the lane to the cocktail hour.

Harp music continued, including the special requests of “Everything I Do, I Do it for You,” “Here Comes the Sun,” “Fairy Fountain” from The Legend of Zelda, “I’m Yours,” and “This Will Be an Everlasting Love.” Having harp music for both ceremony and cocktail hour provides musical continuity to the beginning of your wedding celebration, and gives you the opportunity to include even more of your favorite songs!

Ann Arbor Wedding Harpist ~ Ceremony at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms

Fall was in the air for Morgan and Cody’s wedding! Their ceremony and reception both took place at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms in Dexter, Michigan, not far from Ann Arbor. I set up the harp on the farmhouse porch so it would be sheltered from the wind and I’d be able to see everyone come down the aisle. Plus, it’s a beautiful spot!

Wedding Harpist in Ann Arbor

While guests arrived and found their seats, I played a variety of popular, jazz, and Broadway songs. The family members of the couple and the groom entered to John Legend’s “All of Me,” followed by the wedding party to “Just the Way You Are” by Bruno Mars.

The children (junior bridesmaid, junior groomsman, flower girl, and ring bearer) all came down the aisle to “Tale as Old as Time” from Beauty and the Beast. The bride’s processional music was “All I Ask of You” from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera.

Ann Arbor Wedding Ceremony Music

When the ceremony concluded, the Elton John song “Tiny Dancer” accompanied the couple’s and wedding party’s exit back down the aisle. Guests were dismissed to the barn for cocktails and dinner, and a night of dancing!

Harpist in Northern Wisconsin ~ Minocqua Wedding Ceremony

Kaitlyn and Jack gathered with a small group of guests at the Minocqua Winter Park, and their ceremony had a beautiful view of the changing fall leaves of Northern Wisconsin and Squirrel Lake. Harp music was the perfect touch!

Northern Wisconsin Harpist

The bride and groom each had one attendant, and they came down the aisle to “Fields of Gold” by Sting. The bride’s processional was to “River Flows in You” by Yiruma. During the ceremony, they did a ring warming ceremony, where the guests give a blessing over the couple’s wedding rings. As they did so, I played “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

Minocqua WI Wedding Music

For the recessional to conclude the ceremony, they chose the jazz standard “La Vie en Rose.” I continued postlude music as they took pictures and enjoyed some light refreshments at the top of the hill before going to dinner.

Ludington Michigan Harpist ~ Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music

Finally a beautiful fall day without any threat of rain! The setting was the Lake House in Ludington, a waterfront venue where you can even watch the SS Badger coming in from its trip across Lake Michigan. The ceremony was held on the lawn with views out to the lake, and the reception followed inside.

Ludington Michigan Harpist

As guests arrived, they were serenaded with harp music. For the wedding party entrance, they chose the Leonard Cohen song “Hallelujah.” It’s one of my favorites, and sounds beautiful on the harp! Kelsey’s bridal processional was “A Thousand Years” from Twilight: Breaking Dawn.

Harp Player Ludington MI

All My Loving” by The Beatles was the recessional that sent the couple, wedding party, and guests off to cocktail hour. With an indoor and outdoor bar set-up, I played from the patio so you could hear the harp no matter where you were!

For dinner, I relocated inside the banquet hall. Music for the reception was popular music, including “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts and “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica.

Wedding Ceremony Music in Galena, IL | Harp & Violin Duet

Since the last time I had played there, Eagle Ridge Resort has extended their patio, so your ceremony has an even better view of Lake Galena! Galena is a quaint northwestern Illinois town, full of unique shops and restaurants. Eagle Ridge combines easy access to those amenities, along with a beautiful natural setting.

Wedding Music in Galena

The weather was iffy, so I set up the harp under the adjacent tent. For this wedding, Ansley and Nick opted for a duet of harp and violin. It’s by far my most-requested ensemble! We play not only traditional classical wedding music, but renditions of popular songs, too.

Galena Wedding Harpist

We did a little bit of both for the prelude as guests arrived. For the family seating, they chose “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles. The wedding party processional was “Love Story” by Taylor Swift, and the bride came down the aisle to Elvis’ hit, “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

Harpist in Galena IL

For the recessional, they chose the Maggie Rogers song, “Love You for a Long Time.” I love expanding my repertoire to include couples’ special requests! For this piece, I created a custom harp and violin arrangement, adding a bespoke touch to the couple’s wedding day soundtrack.

If you are looking for a wedding musician in Galena, please visit my website: Galena Wedding Music. Quad Cities Wedding Music ~ Harpist in Rock Island

Rebecca and Collin were married at the Watchtower Lodge at Blackhawk State Park in Rock Island, Illinois. Although it was raining off and on, they went ahead with their planned outdoor ceremony. Fortunately, the harp could stay dry right inside the doors. I just hooked up my amplifier, pointed it outside, and we were good to go! I could still see the processional come down the aisle, so it was easy to time the music appropriately.

Quad Cities Harp

Most guests stayed indoors until just before the ceremony began, but they could hear the harp music from either location! The song for family seating and the wedding party processional was “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King. Rebecca came down the aisle to “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles.

Rock Island Wedding Music

For the recessional, they chose “Seasons of Love” from the Broadway musical Rent. I continued to play until the guests came back inside the hall for the reception.

Wedding at Castle Farms – Northern Michigan Harpist

Located a short drive from Charlevoix, Michigan, Castle Farms is a beautiful wedding venue! It’s like a European castle had been dropped down in Northern Michigan, and it has multiple spaces throughout for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Harpist in Charlevoix, MI

Michelle and Jason chose music for their wedding inspired by anime and role-playing video games, with a nod to the “regal” atmosphere the venue creates. I played the prelude as guests arrived, including “Ancient Stones” from Skyrim, along with some Medieval, Renaissance, and New Age music.

Castle Farms Wedding Music

The bridal party and groom came down the aisle to “Concerning Hobbits” from Lord of the Rings, followed by the bride’s processional to “Merry-Go-Round of Life” from Howl’s Moving Castle.

Wedding Music Charlevoix MI

For the recessional to conclude the ceremony, they chose “Sparkle” from the 2016 Japanese anime movie Your Name. If you’re wondering if I can play your special requests, the answer is yes! I love the challenge of adapting new music to the harp, especially when it is something that is meaningful to the couple and will always be a part of their wedding memory soundtrack.
